Materials needed: Clay of your choice, Yarn needle, Toothpicks, Embroidery thread, Chain, Chain link or wire
1. Roll small piece of clay into a ball
2. Flatten out with your thumb, move thumb in circle until clay forms oval shape
3. Take toothpick and poke holes in clay in heart shape (follow pattern above). Don't forget a hole for your chain to go through!
4. Bake! Follow instructions on package, my package instructed to bake for 30 minutes at 230 degrees.
5. Thread yarn needle & tie knot in embroidery thread6. Start cross stitching! (I'm no expert cross-stitcher...so I just went from one hole diagonally to the next with the thread)
7. Use wire or chain link to connect chain to your clay piece
{bird ring is forever 21 & knuckle rings diy here}
So easy and can be done with any pattern, not just a heart! I can't wait to try out different patterns and even ombre the thread!I'd love for you to share your pattern ideas for cross stitch necklaces!
