City Guide: Fairhope, AL/ Home Part II

Recently, I had the opportunity to go back home to visit for a little bit. I grew up in the cutest town, hands down. Fairhope is a very small "artsy" town nestled next to the water with cute shop owners, delicious (and fresh) seafood, and beautiful sunsets. While I was home I snapped some photos of a few of my favorite things, I will be sure to share more with you after every visit!

This is the pier where you can go to fish, dine, set sail, have a picnic & gather with friends to watch the Fourth of July fireworks show! One of my favorite things is to get some sushi to go then take it to the bay to eat and watch the sun set.

A couple years ago, the Windmill Market opened in Fairhope. Powered by a windmill, the open air market has a deli, juice bar, artist market, locally grown food and grocery! It is one of my favorite things about Fairhope!

My best friends and I were near the bay visiting and found this cute pear tree accompanied by a sign reading "Free Pears" Near the tree was grocery bags and a pole to help you get the best pears at the top! I love the idea of sharing a fruitful tree with the community!

One Sunday afternoon when all the shops were closed I walked around with my friend Kaitlyn and local photographer Keith Glines to take pictures and basically melt in the Alabama humidity.

Thanks to my friend Leah, I came across this "Little Free Library." You can leave a book and take a book! I love this idea so much, I want one in my front yard one day! I left a book and took a Star Wars book :)

Thanks for letting me share a piece of home with you! I will share more soon, if you ever head south..be sure to take a tour through Fairhope!

  1. awh...Fairhope looks like such a darling of a town. I live in Huntsville so its really refreshing to get to look at Ala. from a different perspective! Hopefully, I'll get to stop by when we take my sister to college. :) Also, I am in love with the little library!!

  2. Your hometown looks lovely! Would love to visit one day.
