Leather Handle Tray | DIY

I enjoy relaxing in the morning with breakfast and while I read the Bible or journal. I made a tray that will help me prevent spills on my bed, I am also thinking of using this tray to serve food this summer. Here is how it turned out:
Materials: Wood of your choice, Leather strap, Screws, screwdriver or drill, wood glue, paint of your choice. After assembling your wood as you please (I put two pieces together but you can easily just use a pre cut piece from the hardware store) paint your wood. Cut leather strips in six inches and screw into the board. I did not have to punch a hole in the leather before screwing in to the wood but if you are having trouble use a pic punch from the leather supply section. *Remember: If you are planning on placing food directly on the wood you should seal it with a nontoxic protective coat.

Enjoy!
