Lilies Of The Field

This verse goes on to say in verse 34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

I find peace in knowing that all the flowers are taken care of, they don't toil or spin for what is next or how they will be provided for, so if God loves me more than the flowers...why would I worry for anything or try to do anything on my own? This is just one of those verses that is constant encouragement and lifts heavy weights off my shoulders.

  1. thank you so much for sharing this! this year at uni has been crazy difficult and I started having anxiety attacks & verses like this helped calm me down and realise that I don't need to worry, all my little problems are just trivial when I think about God's grace, mercy & love.

    lush illustration too :)

  2. This is SO beautiful. And perfect. Thank you so much for sharing. This perspective is sort of just what I needed.

  3. I really needed this today!! Thank you so much for sharing!!

When we realize how much time we spend worrying about tomorrow, we could have been taking care of today's business!

I love to start my day with reading His word...it makes the day seem so much brighter, happier and exciting!!

    1. I definitely agree with you, Kat! Starting your day out in God's word is a complete day changer.
